Professor Jane Phillips, BSc, PGDip, PhD, RN, FACN

Professor Jane Phillips is Director of IMPACCT Centre at UTS and Professor of Palliative Nursing with experience in delivering evidenced-based palliative care across diverse settings, including rural and regional Australia. Jane is at the forefront of her field and brings her considerable clinical nursing, national policy and academic expertise to deliver outcomes that are changing practice and enhancing palliative care globally.

Professor Meera Agar, PhD FRACP, FAChPM, MPallCare, MBBS (Hons I)

Professor Meera Agar is Professor of Palliative Medicine at IMPACCT Centre and current Chair of the Palliative Care Australia Board, and Chair of Cancer Symptom Trials, the 14th Cancer Collaborative Trials Group. Meera is a practicing palliative medicine physician in South West Sydney, and her research interest is in clinical trials of symptom and supportive care interventions for people living with cancer.

Palliative care education for health professionals, health care workers and palliative care volunteers across WA.

Our events are aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding of palliative care for health professionals caring for any person with a life-limiting illness in all settings.

The education programs are facilitated by project officers in collaboration with expert palliative care clinical providers and health professionals. Tailored education to meet specific requirements is available as we continue to improve and develop our programs to meet the growing demand for palliative and supportive care education.
